This is the famous Diet Doctor Keto Bread recipe! It's been 2 years since I started keto and I can't believe it took me this long to try it... This is a game changer!! Perfect for quick breakfasts or snacks. Also, a great burger or sandwich bun alternative! Macros per bun: 170 calories / 13F / 7P / 2NC Ingredients - 1 1/4 cup almond flour (I used natural instead of blanched and they turned out really well) - 5 tbsp psyllium husk powder - 2 tsp baking powder - 1 tsp salt - 2 tsp apple cider vinegar - 1 cup boiling water - 3 egg whites - optional: sesame seeds, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, etc. For topping or to add to the mix use 1. Preheat oven to 350F. 2. Add your dry ingredients (almond flour, psyllium husk, baking powder and salt) to a bowl and combine. 3. Add vinegar and boiling water. Give it a quick stir (to cool it down a bit so you don't cook the egg whites). 4. Add the egg whites and, using an electric mixer, mix it together until it becomes a thick, doughy consistency. 5. Divide dough into 6 equal parts and shape accordingly. I just made them into little buns. 6. Bake on a lined baking sheet for 50-60 minutes. You'll know they're ready when it sounds hollow when you tap on the bottom. I'd recommend letting them cool before eating. They don't really feel like real bread fresh out of the oven. Quick pro tips... I made a version of these with the psyllium husk powder as well... If your baking powder has aluminum they may turn a deep purple. I am not kidding. Give it a search. Also, mine needed salt as they were pretty flavorless. And finally, not everyone's digestive system works with psyllium husk powder. Bloating is a thing. It's not unhealthy from what I've read, just don't overdo it.

Does anyone know if golden flaxseed meal would be a good replacement for the psyllium husk?

These look fab. I love my carbzone bread but other shapes are also a plus. Edit: deleted extra word.
