Chop and sauté the whites and light green parts of one leek, a jalapeño, one carrot, one celery, and a clove or two of minced garlic. Then add about two cups worth of fresh trimmed and chopped yellow wax beans, one bunch of chopped asparagus, about 3-4 cups veggie broth, s+p, turmeric, and fresh thyme and oregano (i picked those from the shared herb garden at the school where my polling place is located which was absolutely adorable — thanks Mrs. Moore's second grade class!) simmer until tender, and top with nutritional yeast if desired. this was a great way to use some farmer's market yellow wax beans! i'm sure it'd be equally good with fresh green beans instead. i was absolutely delighted at how perfectly the leftovers fit into this container.
